Denise Woodard

Denise Woodard is the Founder and CEO of Partake, a line of nationally distributed allergy-friendly snacks inspired by her daughter’s experience with food allergies. Launched in 2017, Partake’s first product — 10 flavor varieties of delicious, nutritious, allergy-friendly cookies — can now be found in more than 6,000 retailers. In December 2020, the company closed a Series A round of funding led by investors including Rihanna, CircleUp Growth Partners, FF2032 and Marcy Venture Partners. Of the $7.5 Million Denise has raised, more than 50% has come from Black investors. Prior to launching Partake, Denise spent a decade in consumer packaged goods at various Fortune 100 companies and is the first Black woman to raise more than $1 Million publicly for a CPG food startup.

Michelle Davidson

Michelle is an industry expert when it comes to products based companies within the wholesale distribution, retail and manufacturing spaces and how they use ERP software solutions. She’s spent over 15 years working directly for various software providers as well as within different industries like printing services, promotional items, hospitality, legal and financial planning and more. Currently Michelle focuses on market intelligence and how that affects the products based sales organization.

Gila Kurtz

Gila is a #1 international best-selling author and serial entrepreneur who found her deepest passion for working with dogs and their people. Gila is the author of Fur Covered Wisdom...A Dog Can Change the Way You See the World and the creator of  A.L.P.H.A. Reimagined, a transformational program for women. Her dog-centric approach to life and leadership is authentic and relatable.  She utilizes her skills as a canine expert and compelling teacher to engage audiences and inspire people to “fetch a life worth barking about”.

Sharon is recognized as a thought leader in social innovation, sustainable and responsible production since 1989. Her speaking engagements are varied, taking her wide and far, from Yale University to Sing-Sing Prison, the Nairobi Center for Innovation in Kenya to Social Venture Institute conference in the Hudson Valley.

Eva, a civil engineer is focused on sustainable design. Julian, a cartoonist published in The New Yorker Magazine contributed to this book.

Sherita J. Rankins is the Creator & Editor-in-Chief of The lifestyle brand that inspires women to be effortlessly stylish, travel more, make smart money decisions and live their best life. Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur in2015, Sherita worked in various business functions, including Finance, Operations, & HR for 10 years.
