Marian Salzman is a highly awarded communications executive and author or co-author of nearly 20 books. One of the world’s most influential trend spotters and cultural commentators, she is perhaps best known for popularizing the term metrosexual in 2003.

 

In 2018, Marian left behind the agency world—most recently, having spent nearly a decade as CEO of Havas PR North America and global chair of the Havas PR Global Collective—to embark on arguably the greatest challenge a communicator could take on: helping Philip Morris International (PMI) rid the world of cigarettes. In her leadership role, Marian has firmly positioned PMI at the forefront of the smoke-free conversation.

Pilar Guzmán is a media industry leader—an editor, speaker, writer, consultant, and "brand whisperer"—who has presided over some of the most influential American lifestyle brands over the past 15 years. In 2020, she co-founded along with Alisa Volkman, The Swell, a membership community and media platform that is reimagining all things midlife and is now co-authoring an interior design book and brand called Patina Modern (Artisan 2022) with her husband Chris Mitchell. From 2013-2019 Pilar served as editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler, reinventing the iconic travel brand for a modern consumer across digital, social, video, and print. She presaged and captured the global influencer zeitgeist of the past several years, defining a new Experience Economy with travel at its core.
