Melissa Davis

Melissa Davis - Chief Revenue Officer - Afterpay

Melissa Davis is the U.S. Chief Revenue Officer of Afterpay, the leading retail payments innovator and one of the fastest growing global fintech companies, where she leads all regional sales and marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Afterpay, Melissa was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of ShopStyle, where for over nine years she built the business into one of the leading fashion search websites in the United States, working closely with many of the largest fashion retailers in the country. There she was responsible for the company’s on-trend management, partnerships with over 1,000 retailers worldwide, as well as ShopStyle Collective, an influencer network with more than 14,000 members and proprietary social shopping technology.

Melissa has nearly a decade of digital media and commerce experience. From 2007 to 2008, she served as director of business development at CNNMoney.com where she managed strategic partnerships for digital content distribution and headed new technology integrations with mobile and video. She brought her skills to The Knot, a lifestage media and commerce company, focusing on its registry business unit in her role as senior manager of business development. Melissa began her career as an IT specialist for IBM after earning a BBA in management information systems at the University of Texas at Austin.

Melissa resides in San Francisco with her husband and two children.

Chris Hufnagel

Chris Hufnagel is Merrell’s global brand president and a member of Wolverine Worldwide’s Executive Leadership Team. In addition to Merrell, he also has oversight of CAT® Footwear, Chaco®, and Hush Puppies®. 

Chris joined Wolverine Worldwide in 2008 and has held a variety of leadership positions with the company, including global brand president for CAT® Footwear, Corporate Senior Vice President and Head of Global Strategy, Co-Chief Transformation Officer of the WOLVERINE WAY FORWARD, and president of the company’s Direct-to-Consumer division. 

Prior to joining Wolverine, Chris held a variety of senior leadership roles at Under Armour, Gap Inc., an Abercrombie & Fitch.  Chris is a graduate of Alma College and lives in Ada, Michigan with his wife Jill, and their two boys Owen and Henry.

David Kahan

David Kahan - CEO - Birkenstock

David Kahan is a proven executive with a track record of success. He has had experience in leadership roles, ranging from a $3.6B public company, to a $50m private equity backed venture. David’s primary expertise lies in unlocking brand value, consumer engagement, and scaling an enterprise. He has delivered shareholder value in large name-brand public companies, a small private equity backed venture, and in the case of Birkenstock, a 245 year old family owned company that is one of the most iconic brands in the industry.

He started his career in retail at Macy’s and is credited with starting the athletic apparel and footwear business and creating what became the “Macy’s athletic club.” This highly successful business, captured a growing consumer segment and became the model for the entire industry. The success was featured in New York Magazine and numerous publications. David moved on to the brand side and became an executive at Nike, rising through the ranks of management. He was part of the leadership at Reebok International, and had complete P&L responsibility for the largest operating unit, helping create a $3.6B company that led to the acquisition by Adidas.Following the aquistion, David was a part of the integration group that led all aspects of combining the two companies. Following this successful integration, David became head of the Rockport brand within the Adidas group. David eventually became President of ENK group, a leading trade show provider that was backed by Forstmann Little. His efforts helped develop a global footprint and led to the successful sale of ENK to Advanstar in 2012.Since 2013, David has been the Chief Executive Officer of Birkenstock Americas. He is credited with revolutionizing this 240 year old family owned company and helping create a true global lifestyle brand. Under his leadership the brand has become the fastest growing company in the industry and revenue has grown by 10x. The brand has been recognized with numerous industry awards.
